She didn't want to make it seem impossible, and she didn't want to try and push him to put on a happy face, because he was right, there wasn't much around them to be happy about.

And she was a little mad that he didn't mention he was having the same dreams as the others, a little mad the that first time she knew anything was wrong with him was when he shoved her against a wall and held a pair of scissors to her throat. That he hid it from them when they could've helped and maybe stopped this.
"I know this place is horrid, and I know it's hard, I wanna go back to Henry too." Which naturally meant having to sludge through all this negativity. "I can help, I'm sure I can help, but you're gonna need to find something that makes you stronger, Grace, the Enchanted Forest, anything."
Because if he was still so desolate and lost, she was sure that thing would laugh in their faces.
