Ken jerked back from the monstrous dog as it was slammed down hard against the ground, taking the moment to catch his breath as Hawke finished it off. "ありがとうございます," he breathed softly, "Thank you for your help." Then he shook his head and gave a faint smile, "What makes you think I taught him anything?" The shiba inu barked, running over to regroup with them as the Persona vanished in a shimmer of blue light, and the pair turned to face the three remaining creatures together.
The two that had been downed by the Persona were rising again, their broken bodies contorted at unusual angles while the bone and muscle knitted itself back together with repulsive and unnatural swiftness. The last was at the head of the group, its split face growling as it prepared to come for them again. "It seems like you were right about the...heads," the boy murmured, obviously disturbed by what he was seeing but no less determined to fight. He removed one hand from his spear and pulled his Evoker from its holster. He might not have the physical strength required for the task of decapitation, but he could do enough damage to these creatures to slow them down for Hawke.
He pressed the barrel of the Evoker against his temple and fired, the familiar pain shooting through his synapses and releasing the same spark of blue energy from his temple as he willed his Persona to life. "Kala-Nemi!" This time, the entity that appeared was large and vaguely humanoid and composed of constantly moving metal. It raised one hand and lightning shot down on the nearest of the beasts, causing it to yelp and fall back several paces with its flesh sizzling. Instead of disappearing, it remained, hovering above Ken as he focused and began to call forth another attack.
