WHO:Blue & Open WHEN: Thursday morning WHERE: Near the river WHAT: Blue goes fishing. Mostly. RATING/WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: In-Progress
Since the woods were boring, her findings being little more than boxes and dried bones, Blue opted to focus more of her explorations along the water front. There were always animals and prey around there, watering holes often brought out weaker prey. Blue wasn't overly fussy when she was hungry.
The only thing she needed to work on was identifying the pets from the prey, although they were similar in some ways. It was easier though, since they all mingled each others scents for the most part and Blue had gotten good at working out who belonged to what pack. She hadn't needed to feed any of them yet either, since it seemed there were more capable pets in the group now, ones that weren't prone to ruining things or being idiots, ones that knew how to hunt and keep the kills fresh for eating.
Which was good, because Blue would always put her pack before these other weaker packs, and if they got too dependent, she'd need to kill them. For the good of the group. Sick pets would infect the rest. No point in keeping them alive.
But she still needed to eat, and in between a proper hunt with Alpha, she'd pick at smaller prey. She wasn't meant to play with them, but sometimes she got bored, without her sisters to run with, there wasn't a lot else for Blue to do. Since there weren't many animals along the water bed, Blue had wading into the water somewhat, her clawed toe tapping at the rocks under her feet, she could feel the fish grazing her legs, but they were too small to warrant her attention anyway. So she waited. Ever the patient beta.
