Ken hadn't been prepared for how large Hawke actually was and, once he was standing at his full height (and holding Koromaru with ease as if he were still a puppy), the boy had to tilt his head back a fraction to maintain eye contact. "Nothing, really. Mr. Lavellan mentioned you and I was curious. I've never met a mage before you and Mr. Dorian." He recalled what the other man, the Magister of Tevinter, had shown him just the day before and it still left him with a sense of awe. He had his own unconventional abilities, it was true, but he couldn't do anything with his own hands and without his Persona he was just a kid with a spear.
"It seems amazing," he finished somewhat quietly, sensing a certain reservation in Hawke that he didn't quite understand and that hadn't been there in his conversation with Dorian. He lifted one hand to stroke Koromaru's head (the dog seemed to be enjoying his unexpected departure from the ground) and then said, "I'm sorry. If it was rude to ask."
