The tone made her pause. What? Had he seen something? Even with all the debris everywhere now, smelly and useless, Blue paused in her own rummaging to watch him, shifting around in a crouch, this time at least minding her tail -mostly because the noise and smell was irritating to her ears.
Still he went digging into her hole, scavenger, but since she didn't want it anyway there wasn't much issue with him taking her findings. Just more wood and smells really. Not that she didn't wonder if there might be something in the trap. And if there was, she should be the first one to pick it.
Claws scratching at the wood, Blue twisted to come along the side, nudging the fire-handler with her muzzle to get him to open it, see what was inside. A click at him to hurry up and Blue was peering with her head tilted. This was patience.
