There were very few of the pets around this place that Blue felt were adequate to look into this matter. She knew she could go and find her Alpha, but she felt the fire-handler was closer and might be able to stop the burning if that's what the fire smell was -Blue didn't really like fire that much.
They all had such strange tones though, not all that like the Alpha used to communicate, but the easy stride forwards at least informed Blue that he wasn't shooing her away. Another two barks, her body leaning forwards and tail stilling, Blue turned her neck to look over her shoulder through the woods where she came from.
She wanted to know what it was, but it would need someone else if there was a fire. Ducking low and shuffling backwards, Blue tilted her head again, this time watching him from an angle while staying low -unthreatening, almost like a plead to follow. She doubted he'd listen if she just nudged him where she wanted him.
