"Depends on what you'd consider to be big plans." He had actually just finished saving the world in a group effort, again, and miraculously when half the team of supers decided to retire--a handful ended up here. It would have been too much to ask that Thor fell into the pit too, wouldn't it? At least then maybe he could try to blast his way out. Or they could combine their blasts as they'd done in the past.
Nope. Too convenient. Too helpful.
Needless to say, Stark was looking to take a little break from Avenging while Cap put together his new team. He would always be Iron Man but he wasn't born to live, breathe, and fight like Steve was. "I had big plans on figuring out what the hell I was supposed to be doing when I wasn't running around playing capes and bad guys in the giant tin with Steve and the rest of the circus freaks." He loved them, he really did. It was better for Stark to be doing things. When he had time to stop and actually think about what he should be doing without said things, now that, was the scary part. "I've got a fiery redhead back at home who I need to take care of. Probably let her tell me what to do."
