Tony didn't want to become paranoid because that wasn't about to help them do anything. He couldn't just sit and do nothing while he waited for the non-intelligent to bash a way out.
He sifted through some the papers, even moving as to hold them in front of the light in case there was a hidden message or sketch (he'd done it). "Places where we would overlook in searching for a way out or clues."
