"Excellent. I'd make a horrible husband what with the throwing myself into danger and being wanted by half the world." Not to mention having a part in killing a Keeper, even a possessed one, probably would look bad. It certainly wouldn't lead to favorable first impression.
He was quite content with Killian here in this cursed world and having no one in Thedas. That made everything simpler in the long run. A marriage would simply lead to someone who loved him getting killed or captured as leverage against him.
"Red. That's the color of my family's crest," he said immediately, thinking of the Amell crest that hung over the fireplace in his mansion and the ring he had given Killian. "Got one that looks like birds? There's two of them on my crest. If I can find my darling pirate I'll show you."
Killian, however, was no where to be found at the moment. It would have to wait.
