That turned Hawke's smile sharp. There was nothing that changed his mood faster than discussing Anders and his fate. "Tell that to the Chantry." The entire system failed Anders from the moment he was taken to the Tower. Anders and Justice were responsible for what they did but if he hadn't been abused his entire life then it wouldn't have happened. Hawke's hatred of the Chantry came from many places but that one was the deepest.
He busied his hands with tending to some glasses, smoothing his rage down again. Hawke had plenty of practice doing it.
"Oh, your Keeper was right. I killed it twice and then never went back. The thing is welcome to the ruins," he said with a shake of his head. "Your Clan ever encounter things like that? Traveling as your people do you must have seen a great deal more than even me and my adventures. More so with the Inquisition, yeah?" That was the organization Lavellan ran if Hawke remembered. He still had trouble imagining Varric working with some sort of reborn Chantry organization. Ironically headed by an elf when they'd erased them from Chantry history.
