WHO: Rosalind Lutece and Hawkeye WHAT: Rosalind finally wakes up. WHEN: Monday night WHERE: Clint's room WARNINGS: Mention of possession, other than that should be tame STATUS: Closed/In-progress
The only thing Rosalind was aware of was pain. She felt a deep throb in her leg, arm, and head, and the more she began to pull out of her comatose state the more she felt it. Her heart raced in her chest, a slow panic that picked up speed when she couldn't open her eyes immediately. It was like a dream from which she couldn't wake but so desperately wanted to, and if she felt as if she were going to suffocate if her eyes would not open.
But slowly they did, and she found herself in a room that she did not readily recognize. Rosalind lay there for a moment, her thoughts gathering as she began to remember the events that took place. The attack in the street with Sam, and then her arrival in Clint's room. That was her last clear memory and her eyes widened before she sat up in bed. The rush of blood did her no favors, and everything around her began to spin. Her head was pounding even more, and before long she had to lie back down on the pillow. She felt tears welling up in her eyes, and quickly wiped them away with her hand. She caught sight of her bandaged arm, and slowly lowered it over her eyes to block out the light. She was tired and despite having just woken all she wanted to do was sleep.
Rosalind took a deep, shaky breath. Her mind was a blur, and her memories were snapshots of the violence she had inflicted on herself. She wanted to find Clint, but she felt that she had caused him enough trouble already. She could try to leave before he returned to the room, and with that thought she slowly began to sit up in bed.
