The Adventures of Lisa and Robin: Part 2
"Robin-! ROBIN!!"
Lisa held on with every ounce of strength she could conjure while also trying to keep her own balance in the water and sucking mud. Where Robin grabbed her shoulder would be fingertip-shaped bruises, and her hands throbbed with how tenaciously she'd tried to keep hold- but it wasn't enough. Now Lisa slapped around in the water she couldn't see, waving her hands in the black void trying to grab for her friend, while panic began to settle back in her chest like an aggressive cancer.
Then the things started grabbing at her, and that panic broke into a dead-lit run in the direction opposite of that terrifying ship, falling onto the 'shore' as soon as she found it.
There, Lisa continued to cry out Robin's name into the fog, with only her own increasing sobs to answer. Robin was gone. She'd lost her... and now Lisa was again alone in the dark.
