The Adventures of Lisa and Robin: Part 2
Robin did as she'd been told and stood as still as she could, her breathing echoing in her ears as she tried to remain calm. It made perfect sense that they would be able to find their way back out of the lake; how could they not? She'd only taken a few steps and the water was only up to her -- waist.
She squeezed her eyes shut and then opened them again, hoping she'd just been imagining things, but no. She could see it now, rising ever so slowly around her. Great.
At the sound of Lisa's sharp gasp, Robin moved reflexively, trying to see what had happened to make her do that. And just as she turned, she felt something take hold of her left leg and tug. "Lisa -- How do we get out?" Her words came out shaky and too-loud in the eerie silence and fog that surrounded them.
