"I've been here so long, I know most of the answers," he laughed, a bitter chuff of air. Motioning for Malia to join him, Killian began a walk along the riverbank - it'd be good to wind down, to do more moving, and he'd show her his boat because he was quite proud of the small vessel. He'd made her himself, the beauty, and named her the Ice Queen after a friend who had fortunately been taken from this awful place. Which was a good thing, even if he missed her. "But aye, the moon shows phases. Most of the time you can't see the stars as well, but lately we've been able to."
He knew that Red still changed with the appearance of the full moon - so here, they didn't really get a break from that.
As for helping people, he shrugged. Killian just liked to keep busy, and if he could help, all the better. He never really considered himself particularly helpful anyway - there was always someone else more suited for that sort of thing. "When the mood strikes," he responded. "Or when others actually want my help." You couldn't help someone who didn't want to be helped, after all.
