Silence followed, heavy and oppressive as the atmosphere itself. The aura of pure torment coming off of Lisa's body was thicker still, like a cloud of chaos that concentrated in her eyes when they suddenly snapped right on him. Too-quick to be human, in a blink of his eye she ducked out from under the slide to rigid straightness right in front of him, and right out of his reach.
"She wasn't using it!" the higher-pitched Lisa suddenly roared in his face, and shoved him back with the force of a compact car. When he landed and rolled, she was still standing there, a the snarl on her face having dissolved into something much more youthful- teasing, even flirty- but no less insane.
"Not all of it, anyway. But you knew that already."
