Though he hadn't turned around completely, Gretel still looked at her brother's profile with both eyebrows raised and a small, impish smile. The more he reacted, the better she knew he was feeling, and that in itself helped her breathe a little easier. His head wouldn't be completely fixed overnight, maybe not ever, but as long as he stayed with her physically and mentally, she knew he'd be okay.
And thus, so would she.
