"You've described the whole city." Evie dropped down next to him. She stayed close to the wall on the other side of him with her hand ready to grab her hidden revolver if there was a need.
She turned towards the door and looked, her vision shifting to the black and white of eagle vision but it wavered and she struggled to hold it steady. It seemed the longer she was on the ground the harder it was to use her vision.
"There's no one inside," she assured him. No one showed up in her vision. She couldn't hear anything either. "Once we get inside I can try and sort out what tracks are there."
They weren't recent, though. She could tell the steps were faded and there were many of them. "What sort of boots does our target wear? There are a great deal of steps inside and I need to sort them all out basically."
