The smile befalling his lips was a rarer one, the sort that he couldn't fake, yet only two ladies brought it out from him. It was soft and loving, the only sure sign Jefferson's heart was not yet cold as stone.
His hands smoothed over her body tenderly before leaning over to kiss her deep, assuring in a gesture he knew she didn't quite want to hear words for but that of which he knew he could show. Before she could get too comfortable Jefferson stretched over her side and scooted himself between her and the couch, an easy transition for her to slide over him at her leisure.
All that he was missing was the t-shirt proclaiming 'human pillow'. A fitting title for the duties he performed only for Emma and Grace but a comfort and love he was more than willing to extend for them.
"Never missing," He hummed, leaning his cheek against her warmth, pressing a soft kiss to her because he couldn't help it. Ugh. She made him a hopeless wreck but there was nothing to be done about that. "Right here. For as long as you want."
