Leslie noted the way the dinosaur was looking at her. With its head tilted to the side, and its inquisitive eyes, it almost seemed as if it was trying to understand her. Almost like a dog that heard a strange noise and needed that tilt in order to hear it just a little bit better. A big, blue, ferocious dog with sharp teeth and claws and could probably eat her in two bites. Maybe three.
Tears were welling up in her eyes, threatening to fall down her flushed cheeks as she struggled to move. But she didn't want her movements to be threatening, though, and slowly she inched away laterally, toward the street. "N-Nice dinosaur..." Leslie said as she moved away from the dinosaur. It was cute how it chirped at her, the sound was very bird like and Leslie almost thought it was nice. Those thoughts didn't last long in her fragile state though, and she failed to notice the curb. Her foot slipped off the edge, and she fell right on her behind. She might have twisted her ankle a bit, too.
Regardless, she was sure she was dead. Easy food for the dinosaur. She closed her eyes tight, and waited for inevitable end.
