Owen waved his hand dismissively when she gave him her curious little kiddy look--seemingly kiddy to anyone who didn't know any better, and just gave her a smile. "It's alright, Blue. You're doing good." That much he knew she'd understand or at least recognize the tone. Even he knew that he could get too talky tamy for the raptors when they were blinking too much.
So what if he liked to think that pretending there wasn't a language barrier wasn't going to stop him? Confidence was key here.
Rolling his shoulders and wincing lightly when the bite pulled, Owen ran a hand through his messy hair with a yawn. He made a fist and pulled it down so she knew she didn't have to wait around for any more orders, nodding with his head. "Go get some sleep. I'll see you later." He'd wait until she gave in and padded off. Maybe he'd linger in case she tried to. She was stubborn like that.
