The alpha had a tendency to talk a lot. Blue didn't understand a lot of it, but she read the tone, understood the emotional response from it. He was being cautious, but calming, it meant the danger wasn't there right now, which meant she'd been elsewhere when he'd needed her.
Blue let out a small whine, edging closer again to where her alpha was leaning, snuffling lightly around. He didn't smell sick or infected, just the sharp metallic tang of blood, or human blood at least, lingering a little. Snuffling again, Blue's tail swayed while she kept her body low, her own apology for not being a more alert beta, she'd be better from now though. The pack was too small, she had to do everything she could to make sure the pack was protected, watch her alpha like she should. Especially around all these other packs.
She'd bring more food, she'd keep better watch, once the female was at her other building, she'd patrol more, she'd mark their territory, keep others out. Chirping, Blue drew her claw along the ground, asking if there was a hunt they were meant to go on, if they needed to take out this other pack, if someone was trying to take out the alpha to take over.
