"No," he said, shaking his head a little. "I just know I'm one of the youngest around. At least that I've met so far," he explained. "I guess here, though, everyone's pretty much on the same level. Doesn't matter what your age is, we're all stuck in the same place and having to deal with the same things."
They'd walked a decent way through the town and Jeremy knew that he wanted to be back home before it was dark. "I should probably get back home," he said after a moment. "Thanks for walking with me, though. It was nice to have some company."
