I want pinned down, I want unsettled WHO:Emma Swan & Garrett Hawke WHEN: Monday WHERE: Hawke's lake side home WHAT: Magic lessons, as promised from before. WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Complete
Settling into Grimoire wasn't as difficult as it maybe should've been. But then, going from Marrowood to Grimoire wasn't that massive a change really, it was bigger, a little more close to a city as most of them were used to, maybe a bit better equipped to defend -but that usually meant bigger danger. And Emma was through with letting the danger win. The dinosaurs were terrifying and destructive, but they'd managed to make it out of that mostly alive, which was great. But Emma wasn't about to drop guard now.
The period of quiet meant that something else would come, something just as big and deadly and bad as the dinosaurs, maybe worse considering what this place was like. Which meant they needed to be prepared, and Emma's biggest asset was currently untrained and dangerous. Which made her dangerous. She didn't like that at all.
With more people helping out at the station, Emma could afford to slip out for a few hours too, wandering towards the house she was sharing with her friends before slipping through to wind through the park, staying close to the lake but not too close. She was cautious, mostly because she didn't want to end up too close to the dinosaur that Owen claimed as a 'good' dino, purely because she'd seen enough of them, not because she didn't believe him when he said she wasn't a threat to them.
She knew that Garrett had moved into Grimoire, thankfully abandoning his idea to stay behind in Marrowood where everything would likely try to eat him. And she was sure he'd had time to settle, he had told her she could come and find him any time, ask about the magic. And really, if he was willing to show her how to use it then she'd try and learn whatever she could.
"Garrett?" Just traipsing in on someone's camp wasn't really polite, and Emma wasn't even sure if he'd be there, so she made sure to hopefully call a little attention to herself -just not too much. "You around?"
