On the whole, in her own world, vampires were largely unknown. They kept their lives separate, secret, they weren't a threat to humans in the larger scale and there was no danger -of course there were the odd fanatics, fans that wouldn't let up, hunters that refused to quit, people who dug so deep into the underbelly of society that they found out the truth, that most of society was supported by the long term support and business mind of the vampire society.
It kept things quiet, the sects and the families, the ghouls and the pets. It meant there was a steady supply of blood from certain avenues and they were never to go hungry. Therese was better at those business ventures. Jeanette tended to just lure her prey to her bed first.
"Blood packets are viable. Usually, we require about a pint a day to keep us fed and strong, but we can drop down to a pint every two days before it becomes a problem. If numerous people were to provide blood over extended time, it could keep us going for a while." Of course microwaved blood was less satisfying for her, she could tolerate it if it was all she got. "I'll take it how ever you're comfortable giving it." Although really, she'd adore getting her fangs into flesh again.
"Andy used to let me take it from his arm. It's not overly painful, just a little nip. We can fed from the neck and make it very enjoyable... or not. Depended on the person."
