Leslie had to keep hope in this place - it was the only thing allowing the woman to keep her sanity (which she valued, thank you very much) and not wallowing in a pit of despair. It had gotten significantly harder when everyone was taken back to their world. It was so hard when she woke up one day and Ben was gone, but there was a bright side to all of it. She had Ann! Her beautiful unicorn nurse that was her best friend through it all, even in the shadows of hell, Ann made everything better.
But that didn't lessen the importance of the friends she had made here in Marrowood. Oh no, Leslie cherished Jeanette. The woman had saved her life a few times, after all, and there was just no way Leslie could adequately repay that. Unless she could which was why she entertained the thought of donating blood to her vampiric friend who was her very special moon moth, a nickname that Leslie was particularly proud of.
"Small talk," Leslie asked with a wave of her hand. "Jeanette, we are way past small talk. We are in the realm of binders." Leslie reached into the bag that she had brought with her and pulled out two binders, with color-coded tabs and a decorative cover, one that depicted a silvery-colored moth beneath the light of the moon, with tiny vampire fangs. There was even a little Leslie on the cover with hearts all around her, waving to the moth.
"That's me and you," Leslie said proudly. "I've outlined all of the potential risks and benefits in the binder, and if you'll turn to the first tab that's where I've outlined all my questions. And, to be fair, you can ask me questions as well. Whatever you want. There's even space for you to take notes."
