"Totally ready." Leslie's own spike of nervousness of what might just lay head was contagious, the fear creeping in on Ann, feeling her stomach go a little cold. "How-- bad can it be?" Ann countered optimistically, though honestly? She hadn't really explored the whole thing. Not so much beyond where they were standing in fact, and it hadn't seemed too creepy. Just eerie and empty; Jemma this time had relayed a lot more of what was there to her and from there was it was an assumption that it had everything Ann had hoped was inside and it wasn't a creepy horrorfest of unpredictability. "Besides- " She began in her most sensible, level-headed, nurse-like tone with a steady look to Leslie, whilst also convincing herself. "We've seen just about everything there is to see already." Because live Dinosaurs, right? Murdery people, Creepy forest things, all that other stuff.
Ann chose to avoid the dim, spooky hallway at first, hovering to get a closer look at the reception, which was at this point entirely empty, a huge unmanned desk area only seemed like one big hiding place for things to appear from, practically feeling the hair on the back of her neck rise. Was the silence worse than actual things? Her composed façade was already crumbling a little. "At least there's probably a ton of Xanax around here." Ann's awkward attempt at upbeat sort of joke just sounded slightly unhinged when coupled with a small forced sort of laugh-sound. Of course hadn't yet let go of Leslie's hand, had she?
Ann went on not-so-discreetly taking in her surroundings a fair bit quicker than usual and the smile she was holding was thinning just a little. Well, the sooner they got through the sooner they could be out of here. "I -guess this way." As if announcing it apprehensively somehow made her seem far more casual about heading down the hall, with it's failing light.
