Many things were put into perspective during their week of prehistoric survival, one of which was how terribly small and insignificant humans were in the grand scheme of things. She realized that humans were allowed to flourish because of the extinction of the dinosaurs, and that was merely a stroke of luck. Nothing humans did in the past brought about the extinction, and she was certain there was nothing their ancient ancestors could have dreamed of that would destroy the massive beasts. Rosalind was truly humbled by their presence, and sought not to waste any more time in this world. Who knew when it would all end? Their ultimate fate was not anything they could control, but at least they had some semblance of power when it came to their everyday lives.
Perhaps it was Rosalind's need to exert some control that brought her to Clint's door that day. As much as she tried to ignore the feelings she had for the man it was more difficult that she imagined. She didn't want to be vulnerable, as was the case with emotions in general, she just couldn't stop them cold turkey. She could either torture herself with denial until she was dispelled from Marrowood, or she could face it and accept it, and decide what to do from that point on.
Traversing the rubble was difficult, and there were sections of the apartment building that were torn away leaving open air as she climbed the stairs. She rapped on the door, and leaned her ear close to the wood. "Clint," she called out. "Are you there? Are you all right? I - I was wor-" She cut herself off, and chewed on her lower lip. Being forthcoming was harder than she thought. "I just wanted to check in on you."
