“At least we've got supplies- if there's someone who does need help. That isn't shredded.” Ann certainly wasn't squeamish, but she was really hoping for the most part people were safe.
There was a brief look of fearful concern across Ann's face, Jeanette's tease catching her. A little off guard, it almost sounded a little too close to a possibility, she let out a small awkwardly forced sort of laugh. Her nose twisted in a slight wrinkle in reference to her butt, not that Ann wasn't used to strange but generally heartwarming compliments for Leslie, it was just a little unexpected from a near stranger. Even so questioning her about what to do was ..probably not going to help, especially seeing as she was also doing Ann a big favour by getting her out of the situation, urgency was needed and Ann was getting the sense the other woman's patience was wearing a little thin.
She half awkwardly booted and half swung the door open, and stepped out, bat poised as if she was entirely ready to swing at something. But ..there wasn't anything there, at least not immediately obvious to her. Still, it didn't feel safe, she felt tense, like there was something most definitely out there, then again that's how she felt most of the time here in Marrowood.
Ann really wasn't good with silence, even being pretty terrified, she felt the need to make some small talk whilst wielding the baseball bat nervously. Still she spoke low, hushed more than usual. "So.. Is this something that ...happens where you're from? Monsters, ghosts- that sort of thing?" Because Jeanette seemed oh so casual about heading out there and really, as far as she was aware ..this whole dinosaur situation was newer, and somehow more ridiculous. "And- it's this way, right?" They were already close-to town centre here in the clinic.
