Following the line of sight, Blue looked back to where they'd left the pets, all huddled in their building with the moat of dismembered parts around them to hide them from the Rex. Alpha had to go and check on the pets, before they got themselves in trouble, or worse. And Blue was understanding that she couldn't come too.
Just like before, on the island, when he'd told her she couldn't stay with him and the pups and female, she had to go off and wait. Now she was to wait again.
He shifted around, moving moss and shrubs into her nest, spreading his own scent around there -limited as it was with the grime all over him, maybe the female would make him clean soon and Blue would be able to smell him properly again.
She chirped at him again, not entirely sure what the question was, but the eye contact indicating he was checking on her status. She was fine, not injured, fed and tired. She was ready to rest, and to rest properly knowing that the Alpha was nearby and she wasn't alone all over again.
