He didn't like her nest? She huffed slightly, poking her head through the tuft he moved, puffing breath through her nostrils at him. It wasn't like their den before. There wasn't the same dirt coverage, the trees were different, it was a new sort of den entirely.
Fine, she'd look a little more. She still huffed at him, because there was nothing wrong with that one. It was close enough she'd be able to get to the roads quickly when he needed her too. She could protect the pets better from there. But fine.
Deeper she went. There would be a darker, better spot in here.
Of course the deeper she went, the more her senses flared. She wasn't as alone in here as she was used to, as she'd want to be too. Aside from her Alpha, she wasn't entirely comfortable with others being in the area, whatever else lived in here.
A series of barks, a low and deep growl and she heard something scamper off to her left, away from her location and the Alpha, good. Further away, deeper in they could go. She'd hedge along the line with the town. She found a hollowed out tree trunk, wide and only marginally rotting. It'd be a tight fit, but her tail could curl in around her, she could settle down in the mosses and with her eyes closed, it'd be dark enough.
Sticking her head in to look for weaknesses, aside from the gaping hole at the front and the weak wood, Blue curled herself around and pulled her knees up, settling on her front and closing her eyes to wait for the Alpha's opinion.
