Making sure that she went first, a constant instinct to put himself between others and danger that he had yet to stop doing, despite Peter's harping about it, Derek let Leslie find the alley while he ushered her as quick as possible, the ground rumbling behind them as the herd started to chase.
As she darted into the alley after the labs, Derek braced an arm by her head to shield from any falling debris. The buildings seemed to rumble as the her passed, bricks coming loose to crumble down behind them. Derek's shoulders took a bit of a beating from a few larger chunks, nothing overly hostile or difficult to handle.
With all the commotion finally passing, Derek shook off the dust spatter and leaned back a little, only to end up in a tight hug that was, honestly, marginally uncomfortable. "Um...right." He'd never actually thought about running with bulls -not even once- and couldn't offer insight into a bucket list so he really didn't have anything to counter that with. "Um... on the plus side, they're out of the park."
Granted the park was probably just mud now. "We um... we could probably move out of the alley now..." Where she could maybe stop hugging him?
