They'd be sitting ducks in this building, Owen didn't like it at all. It was safe for things like a tornado and such, the walls sturdy, but nowhere to run or hide should the Rex decide she wanted to further investigate the area.
It was why even after Emma Frost made her way inside, exquisitely perturbed about having to contribute to lining the carcass' around the building, he made sure there was no reason for the Rex to want to tear through the building like she had the Town Hall. At least by now he had enough blood and guts covering his own stink that he was sure not even rain could wash away the scent.
He took the leg gratefully from his little helper, lugging it over to the concrete wall of the building and running the blood along the sides before letting it fall to the discombobulated moat of parts they had lining the Perimeter. "C'mon Blue." He whispered under his breath, shifting the rifle through his bloody hands to do one last check for weak points. All the while it dawning on him that he couldn't take his Beta into the building with him. Owen kept his footing light on the ground, his gun raised and ready but his eyes were lost on the side of the building as he moved, exhausted from the week and conflicted with his decision.
Glancing over his shoulder to study her, he took in Blue's condition. Her siblings were gone, he watched the IRex destroy them one by one, personally watching Charlie blow up before his eyes. It was just as bad as watching his friends die in the Navy, if not worse, and his heart sunk for them and for their widowed sister whom he was loathe to leave alone. "Where are we gonna hide you..." He muttered with a sigh.
