She supposed she could understand the dinosaurs wanting to protect their young, but still she was the nicest (maybe a little overly rambunctious) person in town. She could babysit the baby triceratops and they'd have nothing to fear. But they didn't know that, and natural instincts kicked in to fear anything that was unknown.
Leslie nodded at Derek's directions, and made slow movement to stand up. She was rigid, hands straight at her side and eyes staring forward. The last thing she wanted was to create a stampede of big-super-gentle-but-also-super-fierce-when-it-came-to-the-babies three-horns. She let out a slow, calming breath and moved around the edge of the bench. No sudden movements from Leslie, and quite honestly this was the slowest she had ever been in her entire life.
"Walk off slowly... yeah, let's do that," she said with a smile. So focused on walking that she didn't notice the large rock just behind her left foot. One that was big enough to cause her to fall backwards with arms flailing above her.
