Ann rolled her eyes lightly, not intended at the remark or the woman who's said it, more to the point was right, Ann really should have asked for help, or someone to escort her at the very least. “I know.” She sighed looking sheepish, shaking her head a little “I just thought if other people needed help already- and it's not that far from the Town Hall.” She waved it off half-heartedly, willing to admit it was, in retrospect a terrible idea and she deserved any hysterics from Leslie.
“I- don't want you to get eaten either.” She added a little awkwardly with a lame sort of smile because she felt slightly guilty that she'd needed rescuing at all; but given the fact Ann was the one hiding out, she was probably the only one of the two that was likely to be eaten by Dinosaurs, so maybe she shouldn't be too worried. And ..did she see a flash of fangs just then when she was talking? No. That would be crazy.
“Um- there's got to be.” Ann speculated hopefully. “I mean there's usually something around most places here to defend yourself, right?” Though she moved with a slightly awkward mild-panic, she was becoming less cautious by the minute, clearly reassured in some way, and she sent down the backpack and started looking around. “Given all the creepy stuff- Ooh! There's a baseball bat, I think that's been here since the last time.” Ann almost proudly yanked the makeshift weapon from behind one of the cabinets and presented it. “I'm Ann Perkins. By the way.”
