Leslie heard the footsteps behind her, and again her life flashed before her eyes. She was so sure, so sure that it was a dinosaur that was coming to eat her. She squeezed her eyes shut, and waited for the moment that teeth would sink into her body. Except it never came, and the only thing she felt was a gentle hand on her shoulder. That was unexpected, but not unwelcome.
She let out a sigh of relief, and listened to the voice that spoke to her. Leslie looked over her shoulder at him, and furrowed her brow. "You think so," she asked. She was no dinosaur expert, but she was pretty sure that she was the least threatening presence in the entire town, with the exception of Ann who was a reliable and magnificently calm unicorn.
Leslie looked over at the triceratops, and the babies, and let out a sigh. "Think I can move without spooking them? I mean, I don't want to get impaled just for leaving them alone." That would be bad. Not as bad as them ruining her park, but pretty close.
