Of course there was never just one. It wouldn't be Marrowood if there was, and the town simply did not want to disappoint. Another one appeared, but the man with the fire blasts handled it quite well. What a handy trick he hand, Rosalind thought, and a part of her wanted to study it a bit more if they were able to. Later on, of course. When they weren't fighting for their lives.
Their journey to the door was a long one, and with an exasperated sigh Rosalind picked up the tear generator once more and exited the lab. The door was opened wide, and while the gun was not at full charge she could possibly at least stun the creatures? Maybe? She had no idea what the machine would do if it wasn't creating a tear, but she could at least try.
She pulled the trigger at the other raptor that had come on the scene, and it did (as she suspected) stunned the creature but nothing more. It held them back at least, and Rosalind continued to shoot in their general area to keep them at bay. "Mind the steps," she called to them when they were close. It would do no good for them to trip on them, thus exposing them to attack. If they could make it behind the doors they'd at least have some time to recuperate. The doors were heavy, and the windows were fairly thick. It could buy them a few moments at the very least, and that would be enough time for Rosalind to prepare the other generator they had.
