When the jungle had changed, she'd stuck to the deeper recesses, able to hear the constant growl of the Rex venturing through the trees and growth, looking for a meal. She'd kept back, trailing the edges when she'd heard another pack, following close behind, but far enough back. As they wound through the new den, they'd gotten closer to the scent of prey, the humans and others, contained in the centre of the forest growth.
Strange really, that they'd be so trapped.
Still, she'd stayed near to her kin, aware that they were not her sisters, but the first of her kind she'd crossed with since taking down the other, the big one. There was plenty to pick off in the town, and her kind took apart a herd of head-butters in the main holding of the building area, hunting the humans after the herd dispersed or was torn apart. She remained on the outskirts, picking at the discarded pieces to feed, but remaining largely separate from the pack.
Until the Rex stomped through town. She found a space to huddle away from it, crouching to wait and see just what she did. It happened rather quickly, the Rex growing impatient or just ruthless, smashing through the building at the front of the area, taking the top off in one swift swipe of her head. And then Blue caught the familiar scent, over all the others, all the enticing and luring scents of blood and prey, mixed with it all, there was alpha.
Here. Alpha, but that meant. The Rex had cornered Alpha.
