Derek was already over the dinosaur thing, they were loud and smelled and just generally were not great on his senses at all. After Isaac's flailing around about dinosaurs dude and numerous growls and eyerolls at the entire thing, Derek had eventually decided to go and venture and see.
He'd kept a distance mind you, because they might be big, but he was still technically a predator in most senses, and animals tended to sense that too. How he'd ended up at the park, he wasn't really sure, but his feet ended up leading there and, surprise of surprises, the loud blond one was going around making weird movements towards skittish triceratops.
Snorting, Derek crossed the ground, slowly with wide steps, until he could reach the bench the blond was slouched on, making a point on having a somewhat heavy enough footfall so that she wasn't startled by the light touch to her shoulder.
"Don't wave you hand," his voice was low and steady, even as he took in the surrounding dinosaurs, "they'll see it as a threat." Especially if they were protecting their young.
