Hawke still had bite marks on his arms that spoke to the local predators. They were most obvious on his left arm which was bare of armor except for a gauntlet and clawed armored glove.
"The ones I've encountered are too small to cause any of these trouble," he said. "And they stay close to the woods where those dragon sized ones are. I haven't seen any in town since I chased them off with the lady Swan."
He was in no mood to repeat that experience but he thought they were relatively safe surrounded by the big grazers. If something bigger than them showed up they could easily retreat.
