It hurt to see Killian blaming himself. While the pirate certainly had his part in what had happened, but he'd been just as much to blame. "Hey...no," he said softly, forcing the words out even if all he wanted to do was let go and let this end so that the pain would stop. The words came slowly, punctuated by wet coughs and weak gasps of breath. "No...you didn't...I should have listened to you. I shouldn't have turned my back on you. I was angry and stupid and I never should have done that."
