Emma pulled away and Neal slumped heavily against Killian, his breath coming in shaky gasps. He felt weak and tired and he was barely able to keep his grasp on consciousness. But he knew the end was approaching and he didn't want it to come without him saying some things. He still wasn't sure where they were in Storybrooke, he didn't recognize the place at all, but he knew they would pass this along to Henry and to his father.
He let the two of them help him to the bed, fighting to swallow down the blood in this throat as they went, and closed his eyes when he was finally laying down. "I'm....I'm sorry," he said quietly. "I never wanted this to happen." He grabbed Emma's hand when she went to leave, shaking his head. There wasn't enough time and he didn't want to risk not telling her what he needed to say. "Don't go, Em...please."
He took a shaky breath. "I need..." He trailed off. "I know Henry doesn't remember me, but...I need you...I need you to make sure he knows that I love him and...that...I was trying to do the right thing. Please don't let him think I abandoned him. And tell my father this wasn't his fault..." He broke off with a choked gasp. "And...and...be happy, okay? I always kind of hoped it'd be with me, but just...be happy. Find Tallahassee...whatever that is for you. Both of you just be happy." It was hard to talk but he wanted to get this out. "You two...the only times in my life that I remember being happy...were with the two of you."
