I can read your foolish mind going dark from time to time WHO:Emma Swan & Killian Jones & Neal Cassidy WHEN: Neal's arrival WHERE: Sleepy Hollow, 213 WHAT: Neal's arrival to Marrowood is a little more frantic than most. WARNINGS: Character Death STATUS: Complete
To say that Neal's voice over the network had been jarring would be putting it very mildly. She'd caught up a little with Killian and when Neal had been such a fleeting presence before, she understood that something was coming that wasn't going to be easy. But hearing the distress over the network, through the tinny little comm device set something fierce off in Emma.
Racing from the station to the hotel, Emma didn't bother stopping to let anyone know where she was going, beyond the initial request to Killian. If there was a chance her magic could offer some kind of help, weak and limited as it was, Emma wanted to give it a go. Especially if it was Neal. She was still messed up from everything she'd been through, but what she'd found out since then, from Killian and August and Neal, she knew that there was so much more to figure out still.
And she really hated the idea of letting this place win anything.
Slamming through the front door of the Sleepy Hollow, ignoring the beginning of the receptionist's inquiry of assistance and heading straight for the stairs, Emma was like a demon flying up the stairs, towards the second floor before barrelling down the hallway. She had to slow slightly as she neared the numbers, looking for 13 before noticing to door ajar and... "Neal." Dropping to the floor, where he must've either crawled or fallen after telling her where he was, Emma moved to kneel by his head, "Hey, hey, you with me? Can you hear me?"
She wasn't sure what was wrong, or just how it was caused, only that something magical happened and she needed to help in some way. If her magic could.
