So much for small talk. Though, Ward supposed that wasn't exactly the point of this exercise so much as many sure whatever creepy crawly was out there didn't end up savaging them in their beds. Turning in the direction Skye had indicated, Ward shifted his flashlight, running a sweep over the location before glancing back at the two women that he was with.
"Skye, you want to take point?" He asked, just barely restraining himself from calling out moves. This wasn't an urgent situation yet and certainly not one where he felt assured enough to take control even if part of him wanted to. He was the least likely to know what to do once they were confronted with whatever they were. As it was, Skye was the only one of the three of them that seemed to have any idea that something even was coming. It made the most sense.
"Beth and I can back you up," Ward said, shifting his gaze back to the other woman to make sure that was all right. He didn't want to volunteer too much, but if they were all supposed to be working together, charging whatever it was wasn't the best strategy that they could us. But with their big gun out front, they could definitely do plenty of damage if they were prepared to flank and pin.
