Mutants and secrecy went hand-in-hand. Too long had humans feared the power they had, and he could understand it to a certain extent. When people like the Brotherhood used their powers to terrorize instead of help it became okay to fear, and hate mutants in the process. Professor Xavier had worked to squash those preconceived notions, but there was still a lot more work to do.
So yes, he knew what it meant to not advertise. "Yeah, folks back home don't like us mutants too much," he said with a shrug. It never bothered Logan very much who did, or didn't like him. And he never once hid his powers. It was hard to hide a wound healing up faster than usual from people, and even harder for him to keep his temper down enough to keep his claws sheathed. Anyone that came after him though got theirs.
"Is that right," Logan said as he blew out some smoke. "So it's not something you can learn, eh?"
