*begs for forgiveness*
Leslie knew how overwhelming this place could be. Waking up somewhere that you didn't expect only to find a severed foot in the tub. Yeah, it was jarring. But Leslie thought she had done a good job at keeping it together. She had managed to convince the Mayor to let her fix up the park, and while it wasn't exactly the best weather to do that she was working on it. And now that Ann was here they could work on it together! It was the idea of a park that brought them together in the first place, and Leslie could think of no better thing for them to do now.
Maybe except eat breakfast and hope for a second that all of this was a dream.
But Leslie knew that there was no waking from this nightmare, and she hoped that she'd be able to help Ann through it all. She hugged her friend a little tighter in preparation for the next doozy, and boy it was a big one. Leslie took a deep breath, and smiled a little sadly. There was no making any of this better, but the truth would at least help them to move forward.
"So what we've found," she said to Ann. "Is that we're all from different realities, or timelines, or something like that. Like the me right here might not be the me that you remember. Like, when Ben got here I found out that we were married!" Her eyes widened and her mouth was gaped open to show her happiness, and shock. "Like, isn't that crazy! I hated him so much in the beginning, but I remember dating him, and then those people asked me to run for city council and that was about to happen when I was brought here." She paused for a moment to let all of what she was saying sink in because it was a lot.
"So I'm just going to ask... are you from before 2011, or after?"
