Of course the more intricate details of politics wasn't for everyone, Therese knew that well enough too. People sometimes couldn't play the numerous parties off one another the way that things required. Judging people and their wants was a delicate procedure, since you could never truly let them know that you were masterminding their entire life.
But then, Therese didn't get to where she was relying on her good looks and her sister's popularity. There were knives in backs to be had at times too. Straight to the point, up front people were rarely cut out for that.
"That's what I'm working on." Perhaps not with the Mayor, no. She didn't much fancy too much involvement with the Mayor at all. But there were other ways to facilitate change. And if that came with wrestling power from anything, well Therese had already done that once before anyway.
