Not that he blamed this person for the apparent nonsense she offered, her tone was kind and offered in an attempt to help Arthur was most definitely struggling to take much from it, much other than the fact this place would not soon make much sense to him at all. Years thousands from his own, when Camelot was more than long gone in such a time, and had apparently faded into legend, rather than history. A myth Leslie had said from 'her world'. His brows creased, and no doubt the continued confusion was obvious upon his face even in his silence, and Arthur was all too pleased to move on to matters of what could next be done, rather than what this world was. He didn't intend to stay, so there was little need to grasp it's ways.
“No, it is not real magic.” Arthur agreed quietly, nodding thoughtfully to her words, likely looking to take it all far more seriously than perhaps intended and missing entirely her light tone. “Tricks and illusions are meant for entertainment.” Even his father had allowed such at birthday feasts and other events, knowing very well they were not true magic. “True magic, or sorcery serves a darker purpose.” He noted lowly, as if reluctant to educate her, he didn't like to speak so darkly to a rather bright lady he barely knew. Though he had in more recent years been forced to consider there might be some good or at least good people, innocent people involved that should not have faced execution, Arthur maintained the fact that magic, and those who used it caused the deaths of both his mother, and his father – magic too had corrupted Morgana, twisted her. “There is no true good in it.” He half-sighed, in a knowing tone of sorts.
“They barely spoke at all in that other place.” Again Arthur could liken what she'd now said to what he'd just experienced. “The mayor is the leader of this town?” That was certainly a lead onto somewhere helpful, even if Leslie seemed a little perturbed his lack of communication. “I suppose our best guess is- whoever runs this town is the sorcerer responsible for us being here? Because we will not be forced to stay.”
