Leslie didn't want to fight. That was never part of her agenda, but there were a lot of things this place was going to make her do it would seem. She sighed a little bit, and nodded. "Well, it probably would be best to learn how to fight," she said reluctantly. "I mean, we all have to protect each other." That was something that Leslie was more than happy doing, protecting the people she loved and the people in the town. In Pawnee she was protecting them with the law; here she'd actually have to get her hands dirty.
Arthur's explanation of Camelot seemed genuine. Like the guy really believed it, and for all Leslie knew he really could be from that world. The scientists often talked about how this was some sort of pocket universe, and that all the other universes or something were connected somehow. Maybe Camelot really existed in one of those worlds.
"I'm sorry," Leslie said bringing out her more diplomatic side. "This place..." she trailed off looking for the right words to say the Once and Future King. She smiled. "So this place is super weird, okay? Like I don't really understand how it's all possible, but we're in a completely different universe from where we came, and each of us, well most of us since there are some from the same universe, but most of us? Well, we're all from different universe. So in my universe Camelot is a legend, but here you are, King Arthur. Which means you're completely real."
Leslie looked at him with pleading blue eyes, hoping that she had at least explained it somewhat well. She shook her head, and smiled a little sadly at him. "We're all far from home. I'm from Pawnee, Indiana, in the United States of America. The greatest town in America, by the way. You've probably never heard of it because the year I'm from... it's two-thousand-eleven. Which is the future for you"
