Leslie was always bright. It wasn't in her nature to be anything less unless something got her really really mad. Even then she was bearable, and looking for the good in any situation. She was an odd contrast to this place, its dreary walls and skies. It was a ghost town with actual ghosts, and creatures that did far more than bump in the night.
"Oh yeah, poltergeist. Are you familiar with them?" Leslie cocked her head to the side, but then shook her head at his other question. "Oh no, they're not the only monsters here." She was beginning to feel like somewhat of an expert, and that was a little bothersome to her. Being a monster expert wasn't something she wanted to add to her resume. Besides, everyone back home would think she was crazy if she at all mentioned the sort of things she saw here.
"Yep, I'm her! That's me, I mean. Leslie Knope," she said with an outstretched hand to shake his hand. "And that device is going to keep you connected with the rest of us here. We're all in the same boat, taken from our own worlds." She shrugged a little, and sighed. She didn't think she'd ever get used to saying those things out loud. "All of have the same story," she began to say. "We all went to bed at home, and woke up here. It's really bizarre. So uh, where are you from exactly?"
