Who: Killian and Robert
When: Monday evening
What: Bro time
Where: Killian's tavern
Status: Complete
Rosalind had told Robert over a week ago that Killian wanted to talk, but Robert had assumed that he would just run into the fellow at home. They usually saw one another, but things took a turn for the worse with Ariel's hoarding, and then Rosalind's death. It was hard for Robert to talk about it, just as hard as it was for the pair of them to talk about Robert's own death so long ago. But this was different, Rosalind wasn't killed by an errant demon they had no control over, but she was killed by someone in town that had been seen as one of the protectors. This was a lot harder to deal with than he wanted to admit. Still, he entered the bar, a smile on his face when he spotted his friend. He lifted a hand, and made his way across the space. It would be good to relax with the pirate, and to catch up on how things had been since, well everything.
"Killian," he said with a hand outstretched for a friendly handshake. "How are you, my friend?"
Robert took a seat one of the bar stools, and leaned against the polished wood. "I take it things have settled down now that Ariel is back to her usual self," he said with a smile. "She and Rosalind have been working hard at getting the items back to their owners." He looked around the bar, the smiling faces and the conversations that filled the air made it seem as if nothing bad had happened at all. When did they all get so used to just dealing with the unlucky circumstances of the town? How were they able to just move on so quickly?
He sighed, and shook his head. Perhaps it was the only way to get on with their lives. To live in blissful ignorance and quiet compliance as the town did what it would to its residents. It was sad, but perhaps he was conforming to it as well. He was, after all, considering a courtship with Natasha despite the fact that he knew not what the future held for either of them. Grab happiness while it was available, he supposed. Though he was not sure how long that would last.
